Electrical Engineer
Objective
Technical efficiency, maintenance, and sustained operations of all electrical equipment and systems to optimise asset integrity.
Main Duties
Schedule and maintain plant electrical systems and machinery such transformers, Ring Main Units, switch gears, etc. in a safe manner, following all safety rules.
Evaluation, testing, and maintenance of electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
Lead the creation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions for all electrical processes.
Troubleshooting and fixing broken devices.
Building parts with hand tools and specifications.
Interpreting electrical and electronic circuit designs, diagrams, and schematics.
Fix electric motors, generators, controllers, batteries, wires, switches, and other electrical components.
Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical, electromechanical, and electronic equipment.
Solid-state circuitry testing and replacement of analogue and digital equipment components.
Understand blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Coordinate schedules with various electrical divisions and sectors.
Qualifications/Experience/Key Skills
Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering (COREN certification is preferred).
2?5 relevant years of work experience.
An understanding of electrical operations, processes, and practises.
Knows electrical safety rules
Team player and self-starter with minimal supervision.
Communicates and organises well.
